View Full Version : thread rating
love the rate the thread stars. I know that after one rates the thread that one is not allowed to change one's rating and a message shows up to that effect.
I would be nice to see before rating if I had already rated a tghread - perhaps the stars could be in one color until one rates the thread - then it turns another color

drp.. Are you okay man? I could barely read that...
I ask about the rating of threads. The threads are rated by a number of stars from one to five, one being a low rated thread [such as another Owens thread]. With one the lowest that one can rate a thread, NO stars indicate that neither I or anyone else has rated the thread. I rate several threads.
Sometimes I when a thread is updated by a new post, and I don't recognize it, I am tempted to rate the thread. There is a message that shows up AFTER one rates a thread that says that one cannot change one's rating.
I wonder if there is a way to differentiate the threads that I have rated from the ones that I have not rated, similar to the way that polls indicate if one has participated [the choice that one picks on a poll is noted in italics]. The computer database must know when I have rated threads, as it prompts the message not to vote again.
Obviously with no words, italics wouldn't work. Perhaps the color of the stars could change after one has rated the thread. One color of stars indicates that I have not rated a thread. though others might have. Another color indicates that I have rated the thread.
